The United Kingdom offers some amazing places to visit. I therefore regularly tour around visiting various places with my three dogs in tow. My favourite pastime is going for long walks in the beautiful countryside with my dogs beside me rambling in the fields. These trips are often accompanied by many baths and grooming sessions. However, I also have to ensure that flea and worming treatments are up to date.
Frontline flea treatment is my favourite as I can buy it in a three or six pack so I can ensure that all of my dogs are adequately protected for either two or four months in one box.
Frontline for dogs also protects my dogs from ticks, which is important whilst we are out in the countryside where ticks are so easily picked up. Although they are only protected against ticks for one month after treatment, I ensure that when we will be in the countryside frequently that the flea treatment is given to ensure protection.
My dogs are also very inquisitive so they are often off playing where it is difficult for me to ensure that they are not getting into mischief or eating things they shouldn’t. Therefore it is important that they are given worming treatment to prevent any nasty infestations. And so I use Drontal Plus every three months. This protects my dogs against various tape and round worms and gives me peace of mind.
Using both of these products has always provided adequate protection for all of my dogs and I have therefore never experienced a flea or worm infestation. Therefore I advocate all dog owners use effective products such as the ones I have recommended and ensure the treatments are kept up to date to prevent any nasty surprises.
Both worm and flea infestations are a detriment to your dog’s health and if left untreated they can cause serious health problems such as anaemia, skin irritations, weight loss, and certain worms such as lung worms can even cause death. As they are so easily prevented it is so important that treatments are used.
